Nick Carter leaves Patsy to trail Kate Crandall, but she runs into a mysterious figure. It's up to Patsy to figure out who it is.
Patsy follows Kate to a dark and dangerous part of town, where he sees her meet with a group of criminals. He also sees her give them a bag of money. Patsy is shocked to learn that Kate may be involved in something much more sinister than he thought.
Meanwhile, Nick is still trying to track down Reverend Maybrick. He has a lead that takes him to a remote cabin in the woods. When he arrives, he finds the cabin empty, but there are signs of a struggle. Nick is convinced that Maybrick was taken from the cabin, but he doesn't know who by or why.
As Nick and Patsy get closer to the truth, they put themselves in increasing danger. Will they be able to solve the mystery of Reverend Maybrick's disappearance before it's too late?
