The mystery continues in this next episode of "The Call of Death". Nick Carter is still searching for Reverend Maybrick, who has mysteriously disappeared. He is also trying to figure out who the mysterious veiled woman is who has been following him. Is she Kate Crandall, the woman who was accused of Maybrick's murder? Or is she someone else entirely?
Nick's investigation leads him to a dark and dangerous part of town, where he encounters a group of criminals who may be involved in Maybrick's disappearance. He also learns more about Kate Crandall's past, and he begins to suspect that she may not be the innocent woman he thought she was.
